Himalayan Bio Trade Pvt. Ltd (HBTL) is a natural product processing and marketing company owned by consortium of community –based forest enterprises of Nepal. HBTL offers a range of natural products, including Nepal handmade paper products, essential oils, Himalayan nettle products, raw herbs, personal care products and vegetable oils from wild species.

They had their first FairWild audit and certification in 2020, and re-certified 2022.

**Sustainable wild harvesting practices through training**

More than 200 collectors were trained on the principles and criteria of FairWild certification. The collectors are now more aware of the sustainability of resources and are implementing good collection practices guidelines during harvesting and post-harvesting.

PRESERVATION OF THE HIMALaYAN HIGHLAND HABITAT

2000 hectares of Himalayan highland habitat used for sustainable harvesting and nearly 1000 collectors have collection as a key source of income.
