17-18 April 2015: International Turkish Quality Symposium for Organic Medicinal and Aromatic Plants

Join speakers from the FairWild Foundation at the International Turkish Quality Symposium for Organic Medicinal and Aromatic Plants!

From 17 to 18 April 2015 Izmir will host the two days congress, organized by ETO in collaboration with the German-Turkish Bilateral Project, the FairWild Foundation and EKOLOJI Fair Izmir. The event will highlight Turkey’s importance for the production of organic medicinal and aromatic plants for the international organic food and natural cosmetic markets.

The focus will be on the following topics:
•    International value chains for organic MAPs
•    Production situation in Turkey
•    Specific quality challenges of MAPs
•    Wild collection of MAPs
•    Marketing issues

The symposium will at the same time serve as a platform for importers and exporters to meet and to exchange information with scientific researchers. Parallel to the congress, participants will have the possibility to visit EKOLOJI, the biggest fair for organic products in Turkey.
